Tom Kennedy joined J.R. Bechtle & Co. in 1996, and today manages the company’s Boston office. In his capacity as a Director of the firm, he manages projects and directs the research groups for the firm’s clients throughout the Northeast, Southeast, and Latin America. J.R. Bechtle & Co. is a leading American executive recruiting firm. From offices in Boston, Chicago, and Miami, it serves its clients throughout Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, and other South American markets. Its clients are primarily headquartered in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, and come from a broad spectrum of industries. They include firms producing capital equipment, industrial components, high-end consumer goods, and complex life-science products, and are generally the leaders in their respective fields.
Following his undergraduate studies, Tom worked in the transport and market research departments of Prognos AG, an economic and social research institute in Basel, Switzerland, and later in supply planning and forecasting for a major energy utility in New England. After earning an undergraduate degree in International Affairs from the George Washington University in Washington, DC, with studies abroad in Economics and History at the University in Freiburg i. Br., and German Language and Literature at the university in Weimar (at the time in East Germany), he completed his M.A. Degree in Energy and Environmental Studies at Boston University. In his last year of high school Tom was also an exchange student at the Christophorusschule in Altensteig, in Germany’s Black Forest region.
