Theme of the 2017 Conference
The Theme of the 9th German American Conference at Harvard is Connecting Future Generations. The conference brings together leaders from business, politics, academia and media. Taking place on April 7-9, 2017, it will inspire leadership, foster dialogue and promote innovation. Participants will engage in discussions on the most pressing transatlantic challenges of our time. With more than 900 participants and 30 speakers, it is the largest student-led conference of its kind in the United States.
This year’s panelists include the German Ambassador to the US (Dr. Peter Wittig), football trainer Jürgen Klinsmann, the President & CEO of Siemens AG (Joe Kaeser), the Vice President of the German Bundestag (Edelgard Bulmahn), the Chief Editor of WirtschaftsWoche (Dr. Miriam Meckel), the Former Political Director of Germany’s Pirate Party (Marina Weiband), Co-Chair of the European Green Party (Reinhard Bütikofer), the Bureau Chief ARD Washington (Ina Ruck) and the CEO Opel / President Europe General Motors (Karl-Thomas Neumann) and many more.
