Michael Jugenheimer oversees the development, execution, and evaluation of a strategic fundraising plan for Deutsches Altenheim, a caring and vibrant senior living and elder care community in West Roxbury, MA. Originally founded by the German Ladies Aid Society in 1914 to address the needs of the aging German immigrant community, Deutsches Altenheim is a non-profit community dedicated to providing customized client-centered services that enable aging adults of all backgrounds the ability to achieve and maintain their maximum level of dignity and independence.

As executive director of development for the Foundation, Jugenheimer's focus is building and deepening Deutsches Altenheim's philanthropic relationships within the community.

Jugenheimer brings to the position more than eleven years of experience in non-profit fundraising and management having most recently served as major gift officer and director of annual giving, membership, and communications at the Boston Athenaeum. He has also held director-level roles at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI, and Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA.

Jugenheimer earned his B.A. in Economics and Global Development Studies from Grinnell College in Grinnell, IA and an MPA from Marist College Poughkeepsie, NY.
