Public Information

Felix is a post-doctoral research fellow at Harvard Medical School working on cellular mechanisms underpinning neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s Disease. In addition, he serves as the program manager for a subgroup as part of the ASAP Research Consortium.

Before joining HMS, he completed his PhD in Australia, focusing on organelle dynamics and degradation. Originally from rural southern Germany, Felix moved to Munich for his Bachelor and Master studies at the LMU Munich, with research & exchange placements in both Paris and Oxford.

He is more broadly interested in the dialog between science, law and society, especially at the intersection of treatment options for neurodegeneration and their ramifications for both individuals and communities.

Outside the lab, he is a keen runner and a fan of outdoor-activities and loves books about politics, history and the human condition.
