Dr. Mert Sahin is the SVP and GM for H.E.L Inc., a small scientific reactor manufacturer for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Most recently, he was the Chief Commercial Officer for BiologyWorks, a COVID startup based out of LA. Prior to that he was the Chief Marketing Officer for Imaging business within GE Healthcare across US & Canada, a $2 billion Medical Device business.
He is a trained Molecular and Cellular Biologist and acquired his Ph.D. in Germany on protection against oxidative stress in nerve cells in cancer & neurodegenerative diseases.
He is a dual national (German and Turkish) marketing and commercial executive with 16+ years' experience in leading growth, innovation & transformation drawn from extensive international experience in Life Sciences, Medical Devices and Pharmaceutical industries. Leadership experience on regional & global teams in matrix organizations with focus on new product launches, branding and positioning, marketing to various customer types (payer, HCP, consumer), KOL management, market research, commercial development, sales force sizing, training, strategic planning and implementation.
