Hello everyone, my name is Kai Schmitz, and I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. Growing up in Germany, I always had a strong interest in exploring opportunities outside my home country. This curiosity led me to spend a year abroad in the United States during high school, where I fell in love with the culture, people, and opportunities that the US had to offer. After completing high school, I made the decision to continue my education in the US and pursued a degree in Economics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
During my time in university, I developed an interest in various topics, such as healthcare innovations, urban development, and smart city technologies. Following my graduation, I decided to remain at my university to earn my MBA and a graduate certificate in Business Data Analytics. Once my studies were complete, I knew it was time to return to Germany to embark on my career.
I was fortunate enough to be hired by Management Solutions, a renowned consulting firm that specializes in providing management consulting services to the financial, electrical, and telecommunications industries. Over the past two years, I have had the privilege of working on digital transformation management projects for clients in various cities and countries throughout Europe. This experience has allowed me to gain valuable insights into complex business issues and has helped me to develop my problem-solving skills.
While I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Germany, my passion for the United States has never waned. So, when I was recently offered the opportunity to move to Boston to help one of our clients, I jumped at the chance. I am excited to embark on this new adventure and continue to learn and grow both personally and professionally.
In summary, I am an ambitious and driven individual who is passionate about exploring new opportunities and pushing myself to excel. My educational background in Economics, Business Data Analytics, and MBA, coupled with my professional experience in management consulting, has improved my necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in today's competitive job market. I look forward to connecting with other professionals and learning from their experiences.
