GABC was fortunate to get an audience with a special delegation from the Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program: 3 leading journalists, an industrialist from Hamburg and an economist from Germany’s Bundesbank, here to cultivate transatlantic relations. Wanting to have a quasi-intimate discussion with member participation, attendance was limited to 40. An unusually candid and insightful discussion covering up-to-the-moment U.S. domestic and foreign policy issues, including economic development and job growth, national and global financial policies.
